This is absolutely the perfect shirt for hot, swelteing weather. It is so light you won’t know you have it on! It’s been cut from super-cool 100% cotton voile. Voile is a light weight, but high count cotton, plain woven fabric with a delicate drape and a smooth surface. Voile is like a refined, fragile gauze, that will allow the trade winds to keep you cool, while giving you the look of still wearing a shirt. The fabric is so lightweight that it takes special techniques to cut and sew it. But we’ve done it!
The shirt is cut big and roomy, and is so light it will dry in minutes if you throw it on after swimming. It can be worn tucked in or out, but its tails are extra long so they stay tucked in if you want to wear it that way. The coconut shell buttons, box pleat on the back and left breast pocket add some nice touches to this classically tropical shirt, the lightest of the light.
